Tree
of Life
There are currently three Trees of Life at the
Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The one pictured
above is located in the front lobby.
The others
are located in the chapel and the formal
dayroom.
A meaningful way to make a gift in memory of or to honor a special loved one is to sponsor a leaf on a "Tree of Life". Two spectacular 6.5 foot bronze trees with gold leaves are displayed in the reception area and in the chapel of the Kitty Askins Hospice Center. When we receive your gift of $100, an engraved leaf will be placed on the Tree of Life.
All donations help support the Kitty Askins Hospice Center and Hospice Programs of 3HC. All of our hospice patients have terminal illnesses such as cancer, congestive heart failure, AIDS, etc. and have a life expectancy of six months or less. The success of our hospice program depends upon the monies generated by donations, memorials and fundraising activities. These funds help us meet the needs of our patients by offsetting the costs of medical care, medications, medical equipment, etc. for those whose insurance and personal finances are insufficient to cover their care.
It takes approximately one month for leaves to be engraved and to appear on one of the trees. Three Dedication Ceremonies commemorating your loved ones will take place in 2008: March 12th, July 9th, and November 12th.
