Workers Compensation

Worker's compensation is a special state program developed under each state's worker's compensation laws to provide payment for health care needs of an employee who has an illness or injury that arose from his employment. Funding for the program is basically from employer contributions.

In most states, this is a limited source for home health care. In North Carolina, the state reimburses for Home Health Services if the patient is determined eligible for worker's compensation benefits and the Home Health Services are provided under physician's orders.
