On September 23, 2011, 3HC hosted its 17th Annual Golf Tournament, the Kitty Classic, at Walnut Creek Country Club. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the Kitty Askins Hospice Center Expansion Fund.
The event was a huge success with both morning and afternoon players eager to tee off! This year, 39 teams entered the tournament!
Golfers enjoyed a scrumptious lunch in between tee times, donated by Andy’s Burgers, Shakes & Fries. Prizes were awarded for the first, second and third place teams, and, thanks to the generosity of our local merchants, most players were awarded a door prize! Congrats go out to the winning team, Riddle & Brantley!
3HC’s thanks go out to Todd Williams of BB&T Insurance Services, event chair, and the entire Golf Committee: Johnnie Brown, Neal Benton, Hope Lewis, Sandra Bond, Jackie Lane, Mary Ann Howell, Sarah Schwartz and Stewart Bryan. The committee worked diligently to recruit new golfers and community support for the tournament. We also are thankful for all of our volunteers who worked so hard during the tournament to make the day such a success!
