Your generosity and compassion make it possible for Hospice
to meet the needs of its patients and their loved ones! |
Hospice of 3HC is a not-for-profit program that provides care and services for terminally ill patients and their families in the home and at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Most importantly, hospice care focuses on maximizing the quality of life for both the patient and the family through pain control and emotional support. 3HC relies strongly on your donations and the support of our community to enable us to continue to provide the best possible care and services to our Hospice patients and families. All contributions are tax deductible as allowed by IRS regulations.
There are several ways you can help make a difference!
Memorial Gifts
A memorial gift to Hospice is a meaningful way to honor the memory of someone special in your life. Families often specify memorials to the Hospice Program of 3HC "in lieu of flowers" in funeral notices as a way of honoring loved ones at the time of death. Many choose memorial contributions to Hospice as a way to commemorate the birthday or anniversary of a loved one each year.
"In Honor Of" Gifts A gift "in honor of" gives you the opportunity to support Hospice and to express your love and respect for a family member, friend, co-worker, or other individual. This type of contribution is a thoughtful way to observe someone's birthday or anniversary in lieu of or in addition to a gift. The person honored by your contribution will receive a card announcing your gift.

There are three "Trees of Life" located in the Kitty Askins Hospice Center. This tree is found in the front lobby. The others
are located
in the Center's chapel
and the formal parlorl.
For both Memorial Gifts and In Honor Of Gifts, consider donating to The Tree of Life or The Walk of Life, both located at 3HC's Kitty Askins Hospice Center. For a $100 donation, a specially engraved bronze leaf will be permanently added to The Tree of Life which is located inside the facility. The Walk of Life is designed to allow patients, families, and friends a place to share experiences, thoughts, and emotions in a tranquil environment. A Stone of Life can be dedicated to a loved one for a donation of $250. The stone is engraved and becomes a permanent fixture in The Walk of Life.

Planned Gifts
A Planned Gift is a gift arranged or provided for during the giver's lifetime but it may not actually be received in its entirety by Hospice until after the donor's death. A planned gift is often made through a will, but can also be made in other ways, such as a life insurance policy or trust. Some planned gifts are structured so that Hospice receives regular contributions during the donor's lifetime, while the donor receives charitable deductions and other tax benefits. Planned gifts may be in the form of cash, real estate, stock or other sources.
The greatest advantage of planned giving is that it provides the opportunity to make a major gift to Hospice without making a comparable financial sacrifice during the donor's lifetime.
