GOLDSBORO NC _ 3HC, Home Health and Hospice Care Inc., announces the hiring of Mary H. Bartlett in June 2006 as Vice President of Finance & CFO. 3HC, celebrating its 25^th anniversary this July, is a comprehensive home health and hospice agency with 9 offices in eastern North Carolina serving 23 counties. 3HC also operates the inpatient hospice facility, Kitty Askins in Goldsboro.

Mrs. Bartlett states, "I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a not-for-profit agency whose mission is to serve home care and hospice patients in eastern North Carolina. I love that my healthcare finance skills help others every day I come to work. There are so many caring people at this agency, it is a joy to help carry out the mission of the agency."

Mrs. Bartlett, a graduate of East Carolina University with an accounting degree, brings 20 years of health care finance experience to 3HC. While at Wayne Memorial Hospital for 18 years, she served as Director of Finance and Controller. She has also served as a consultant in the healthcare finance industry.  At 3HC, she is responsible for accounting and finance, business department, information technology, and admissions/intake departments for the agency.

A resident of Goldsboro since 1986, she has been very active in community service including: President of the Sunrise Kiwanis Club, United Way Volunteer, chair of the Business Partners Steering Committee for Wayne County Public Schools, board member and Treasurer of the Lighthouse, and a Relay for Life volunteer.  Currently, she volunteers for the WATCH Golf Tournament, is a board member and Treasurer of the Wayne County Public Library Board, and is a board member and the Board Chair at Wayne Country Day School. She has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association since 1986 and has been a presenter at a state association meeting and served on various state committees.
