3HC's Newest Home Care Office

Located in Dunn, NC

October 24, 2006

GOLDSBORO NC _ 3HC, 3HC announces the opening of its 10th office, located at 608-A West Broad Street in Dunn, NC.  3HC, celebrating its 25th anniversary, is a comprehensive home health and hospice agency. 3HC also operates the inpatient hospice facility, Kitty Askins located in Goldsboro.

"Our services are a definite benefit for Harnett County residents. 3HC provides all types of home care for everyone from the very young to the elderly. We strive to provide a wide array of services so that no one will have to go without home care,” states Lou Ann Jones, 3HC's vice-president of clinical services.

Home care services provided by 3HC include: skilled nursing; medical social work; IV therapy; physical therapy; speech therapy; occupational therapy; home medical equipment; respite care; personal care services; pain management; and end-of-life or hospice care.

Further, 3HC continues to stay on the cutting edge of home services and disease management by providing state-of-the-art technology such as VitalStim therapy, HomMed telehealth monitoring and ProTime PT/INR monitoring. These technologies allow timely response to adverse patient conditions – all within the comfort of their own home.

As a not-for-profit agency, 3HC strives to reach out to the communities it serves. Each year, 3HC sponsors Wings Camp for children who are dealing with the emotional effects caused by the death of a loved one. Wings Camp is open to children from all over eastern NC, not just those whose loved ones were served by 3HC.

Another community-oriented program is the Angel Foundation which facilitates a life-long wish for adults suffering from terminal illness.  The Angel Foundation empowers communities and recipients to share in the joy of bestowing a gift of love.

In the fall of 2005, 3HC received the prestigious Transformational Change Leader Award from The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence (CCME), formerly known as Medical Review of North Carolina, at the fifth annual Ralph E. Snyder, MD, Healthcare Leadership Forum in Pinehurst. The award was based on 3HC’s ability to embrace new technologies, avenues of communication, and overall performance as an industry leader.

Dean Lee, 3HC’s president and CEO, states, “3HC is dedicated to providing quality healthcare to the residents of eastern North Carolina. By opening the new Dunn office, 3HC will now be able to provide Harnett County residents with the full range of home care services they deserve.”
