GOLDSBORO, N.C. _ 3HC - Home Health and Hospice Care, Inc. - headquartered in Goldsboro, NC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Nicholas "Dean" Lee to the position of president & CEO. In this role, Mr. Lee is responsible for overseeing the total management of 3HC including the Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Mr. Lee brings to 3HC nearly twenty years of extensive leadership experience. This includes his affiliation with 3HC as a Governance Board member since 1998 and chair of 3HC's Finance Committee since 2002.

His most recent position was that of Quality Director of Guilford Mills, located in Kenansville, NC. His main responsibilities were Internal and External Quality performance and Customer Quality relations, Company Certifications, Quality Improvement activities, and Automotive and Technical fabrics.

Mr. Lee holds a strong belief that everyone deserves access to high quality healthcare in a caring environment. Lee states, "I have been blessed with a loving, compassionate family that cared for my grandfather in his last years. I realize that not everyone may have a family or support system of care like my own. I believe everyone deserves that opportunity."

He continues, "This has encouraged me to try to give back in some small way by working to support local health care initiatives." Mr. Lee believes that a community requires three key elements: participation by all, the love and concern for the well being of others, and a sense of pride in making life better for all concerned.

Mr. Lee earned his Bachelors Degree in Textile Management from North Carolina State University in 1984. He has served on various community boards including: Duplin County Board of Health; Duplin General Hospital Foundation; Boy Scouts of America, Tuscarora Council; and Woodland United Methodist Church.

Mr. Lee, 43, currently resides in Mount Olive with wife, Beverly, and has three children, Nicole, 18, and twins Nicholas and Lauren, 13. Mr. Lee's parents are Nick and Sandra Lee and he is the grandson of Olivia Herring and the late Leland "Buck" Herring and the late Lloyd and Eva Lee of Mount Olive.
