Breakfast with Santa

Breakfast with Santa participant, Cooper Johnson,
tells Santa what he wants for Christmas.

Hospice of 3HC hosted its Second Annual Breakfast with Santa at the First Baptist Church on S. John St. in Goldsboro, NC on Saturday, December 14th. The event was well attended by children from all over Wayne and Lenoir Counties.

Children were treated to a holiday breakfast and then a morning of fun and Santa Claus! Breakfast biscuits, cereal, pastries, fruit, juice, milk, and more were feasted on. An evergreen tree was decorated with handmade ornaments and a paper garland was created by the children. The tree was then displayed at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The children and their guardians were also treated to Christmas carols provided by Tommy's Road School Choir. The 35-member choir sang upbeat Christmas songs which charged the atmosphere with Christmas cheer!

All proceeds from this event benefit Wings! Camp for Grieving Children. Everyone deals with grief in a different way, and a child is no exception. Because of their limited life experiences and lack of coping skills, children find the grief process very difficult. Wings! is a place where children learn, in a safe environment, that their feelings are normal and an important part of the healing process.
