3HC is pleased to announce our 5th Annual Festival of Lights campaign. Each year during the holiday season, a large evergreen tree will be placed in the lawn adjacent to the Kitty Askins Hospice Center located on Wayne Memorial Drive. The tree will be decorated with shining lights - a tribute to loved ones remembered or honored.

Light is a very powerful symbol of remembrance. Light allows one to give pause and be grateful for the presence of the significant people in our lives, both past and present. Our agency covers 16 counties throughout eastern North Carolina. The Festival of Lights allows all our hospice families to join together and symbolically remember and honor their loved ones in a very personal manner during the holiday season.

Gifts of $10 or more will place a symbolic light on the Festival of Lights tree to honor or remember the life of a loved one during the holiday season. The names of the friends and loved ones remembered will be included in a special printed program used during the tree lighting ceremony.

A Book of Remembrances will be maintained at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center which will also list the names of those remembered. On request, notification cards will be sent to the family of the person remembered.

The Festival of Lights tree will be illuminated during a memorial ceremony on Tuesday, December 5th beginning at 6:30p.m at Good Shepherd Lutheran
Church on Country Day Road.

We will ask for your personal information as well as the name of the person to whom the light is dedicated, and the name and address of the person to be notified of the donation. Contributions will be accepted from October 1st through December 31st. Contributions must be made by Friday, December 1st for the names to appear in this year's program.
