Kitty Askins Duck Derby
What could be more fun than a barrel of monkeys?
How about a flock of rubber duckies racing in a pond?
On October 14, 2006, the First Annual Kitty Askins Duck
Derby will take place at Lane Tree Golf Club from Noon to 4:00pm.
This family event is sure to please! Vendors will be on-hand
with scrumptious food selections; local talent will provide live
entertainment; and game booths will be sponsored by area schools, clubs, and
churches.
But of course the main attraction of this free day of fun
will be the Duck Races! Races will be held throughout the day. The winner of
each race will receive a $100 prize. The lucky ducks which won races throughout
the day will be entered into the final heat… a race for the $1,000 Grand Prize!
Ducks are currently "up for
adoption” for $10 each. For
information on adopting a duck – or a flock of ducks! – please contact Lee

available. All proceeds benefit Wings Camp.
